The new iPhone “3GS” has a 600Mhz processor and 256mb of RAM. I remember when I was a kid and I was proud of my 400Mhz AMD K6-2 powered gaming PC with 357MB of RAM and a Voodoo 2 GPU. This new phone blows away what used to be an Earth-shattering PC. How the times have changed.
Speaking of which, I saw Gran Torino, tonight. It is Clint Eastwood’s last movie - ever. It ended in a very, very sad way but it was a great movie nonetheless. Clint Eastwood has been one of my favorite actors since I was a child. The day I saw Dirty Harry and Fist Full of Dollars, I knew I would be a fan for life. I was right. Still am a big Clint Eastwood fan.
All this talk of things from the past. Makes me feel old. I’m only twenty-five, but I feel like I’m pushing fifty. Looking at teenagers and seeing them a toddlers. Wondering why I ever thought and acted the way I did when I was younger. Then I realize, I was just a kid, not knowing any better like all the rest of ‘em. Which is probably why ‘they’ say with age comes wisdom. For some people at least.
I don’t “blog” as much as I used to, or would even like to. Ah well.
That should change at some point. I used to like sitting down and spilling my thoughts after a long and hectic day.
